How PurohitConnect works
No hidden markup, no haggling, and no paying in advance for a ceremony that has not happened yet.
1. Choose your ceremony and date
Pick the puja, the date and the time. For an online puja you need no address — only the names and gotram for the sankalpam.
2. See who is available, and what they charge
Each purohit sets their own fee. You see the price before you commit, and the purohit receives that amount in full. Our service fee is shown separately, on top — it is never taken out of the priest's earnings.
3. Pay securely
Payment is taken through Razorpay. The purohit's share is set aside at that moment and held — it is released only after you confirm the ceremony was performed. If the booking is cancelled before then, the money comes back under the cancellation and refund policy, which sets out exactly what is returned and when.
4. The ceremony
For an online puja, a video link is sent after payment. For an in-person puja, the purohit travels to you or meets you at the temple.
If your purohit cannot attend
A purohit who cannot make your date can pass the booking to another verified purohit they trust, with an agreed referral share. Your date holds, and the ceremony is performed by someone the original priest vouches for — not by a stranger from a queue.
Verification
Every purohit is reviewed and approved by us before they can accept a booking — we check their Veda tradition, gotra, experience and the services they offer. Temple ceremonies such as prathishta and kumbhabhishekam require a further verification covering temple authorisation and Agama tradition.
